Stallions

Stallions at Braeface have been carefully selected, purchased and bred by Claire Campbell, to achieve a foundation of elite sport horses to represent the Stud. The Stallions have been carefully chosen from a variety of strong bloodlines, to fit a variety of criteria, predominantly concentrating on show jumping horses.

Braeface Stud’s most prolific Stallion to date is the well known Holstein stallion "ALLROUND".  This amazing horse is currently standing in Germany, ridden by Adolfo Pacheco and in only a few short months has developed a significant reputation, having already won the Munster Grand Prix and qualified for the World Breeding Championships in Lanaken, as an Approved Stallion.

The blood lines of the other 13 stallions include Concord, Quidams Rubien, Heartbreaker, Parco, Cassall, Corland, Silverstone and Ahorn and many other top European sires.

In addition to purchasing promising young stallions from around Europe, we have successfully home produced the outstanding young stallions Wooster, Wicker and Zapata that have all been graded through the Scottish Sports Horse Stud Book (SSH).  In 2007 Wooster was the only stallion to attain fully Licensed status as a 3 year old and win the SSH 2007 Loose Jumping competition.

All our Stallions must have great temperaments, strong conformation, powerful movement and show ability and aptitude for jumping.

It is evident from our wide variety of bloodlines that we endeavour to cater for all requirements and provide Stallions capable of producing fabulous horses in all disciplines. All our Stallions are chosen as young, unproduced, horses to allow us to develop their full potential. We believe passionately in bringing young horses on slowly with correct and consistent training with requisite holiday periods and as natural a life as possible with regular turnout and hacking.

We also believe that it is very important that stallions have that elusive 'X-factor' which is hard to quantify but we believe our stallions do all possess this.
